Fried Tempeh

This can be an appetizer, snack, or base of a meal.  You slice the tempeh between 1/8th and 1/4 inch thick and fry in a neutral oil until nicely browned.  then you can serve it up with a condiment of your choice.

How bout deep fried with:

  • buffalo wing sauce
  • truffle salt
  • kim chee
  • honey mustard
  • sauerkraut and mustard
  • ranch dressing
  • ketchup

Deep fried is such a good way to introduce the flavor of tempeh.  Who doesn’t like deep fried stuff? Plus the added bonus of familiar condiments.  Sambal, a spicy chili paste, is one of these familiar condiments in Indonesia.
